Seventeen nights camping with water & electric hookups in… • • Bar Harbor, Maine for 2 nights • • Saint John, New Brunswick for 2 nights • • Brackley Beach, Prince Edward Island for 4 nights • • Halifax, Nova Scotia for 5 nights and ending in • • Sydney, Nova Scotia for 4 nights Always working to enhance your CWPC tour experience, we have added two new activities to the Maritime agenda! While in Prince Edward Island, we will enjoy a performance of “Anne of Green Gables, the Musical”™. Loved by millions the world over, Anne of Green Gables – The Musical™ is Canada’s favorite and longest-running musical. The show will make you laugh and cry as you watch Anne Shirley, the loveable red-haired orphan, settle into a new life in the fictional community of Avonlea. Our second new addition is a 2-1/2 hour puffin boat tour while in North Sydney/Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The boat follows the scenic coast to two rock islands one mile offshore. You will see colorful Atlantic Puffins and other seabirds, eagles and grey seals, each during their own nesting season, as listed below: Atlantic Puffins —————Mid May to Late Aug. Razor Bill ————————Mid May to Early Aug. Black Guillemot ——————Mid May to Early Sept. Great Cormorant ——————Mid May to Early Oct. Double Crested Cormorant-Mid May to Early Oct. Black Legged Kittiwake ——Mid May to Mid Oct. Herring Gull ———————Mid May to Early Oct. Great Black-Backed Gull —Mid May to Early Oct. Bald Eagles ———————Mid June to Mid Oct. Grey Seals ————————Mid July to Mid Sept. With the timing of our tour, we will have great photo opportunities of most of the seabirds and an enjoyable ocean experience! The boats are covered for protection from the elements. The captain and crew are knowledgeable and entertaining. A great way to end a great tour of the Maritimes! The following are also included in this great once in a lifetime trip to the Maritime Provinces! • Guided bus tour of Bar Harbor, Maine to include Acadia National Park. • Guided bus tour of Saint John, New Brunswick. When we arrive in Saint John we will have a free afternoon to relax and get settled. The next day we will take a bus tour of the city that will include the Reversing Falls, Carleton Martello Tower, and shopping stops at the City Market and Market Square. • We will cross over to Prince Edward Island via the 9-mile bridge connecting New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island (PEI). There will be an additional charge to cross on the bridge that is not included in the package price. The cost will be approximately $45.00 that you will pay once you leave the island. • Guided bus tour of Prince Edward Island, including Charlottetown, The Woodleigh Replicas, Kensington Gardens, and Green Gables, home of “Anne of Green Gables” author, Lucy Maud Montgomery. We will have a free day while we are on PEI with time to enjoy on your own. • Dinner at New Glasgow Lobster Supper Restaurant. Of course, our dinner scheduled for the evening is a hearty lobster meal with all the trimmings. However, an alternative menu selection is available in case you prefer not to have lobster. (Please notify us prior to the start of the trip if you cannot eat the lobster. Thank you.) • The Nova Scotia International Tattoo. Over 2000 performers come together every year for one of Canada’s largest and most exhilarating indoor shows. Marching bands, pipes and drums, choirs, comedy, military competitions, acrobats, dancers and more will be present. Tattoo is an unparalleled experience of emotion, music, ceremony and fun. Bus transportation will be included. • Guided bus tour of Halifax, Nova Scotia – Capital city of Nova Scotia. This is a large, bustling city, combining the feel of a metropolis with the unique beauty of an Atlantic Ocean Harbor. Our tour will include the city gardens, the downtown district, industrial areas, residential neighborhoods, a stop at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, and possibly a look at the Bluenose, or one of the other famous ships that may be docked while we are there. For lunch, we have reservations at the Citadel Inn Hotel. Nearby is the Halifax Citadel, where we’ll make a stop and hopefully witness the “Changing of the Guard.” We will also visit the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. The great glaciers stopped here, depositing huge boulders and creating useful coves for fishermen to access the ocean from their homes via boat. The white and red lighthouse that sits at the point of Peggy’s Cove is an actual Post Office. • Guided bus tour of Cape Breton Island. We will take a guided bus tour around the Cabot Trail located on Cape Breton Island. The scenery reveals dramatic contrasts of ocean and mountainside that you’ll surely want to photograph! Be sure to bring your camera and enough film. Lunch will be included during this tour. Scheduled details are subject to change without prior notification.
